Free Audio Books

By Article Guy On June 12, 2010 Under Uncategorized

It is quite important to give consideration to the type of file format that would be of most benefit when looking for potential audio books. There are many different formats available nowadays and it is sometimes hard to now exactly what you need. Do you need an audio book for your MP3 player or and iPod. Would you rather copy it to a CD? Do you just want to listen to it through your computer? Here are some tips to help you choose the right format for your free audio books.

To start with I would like to point out that I am not involved in the audio book business; I personally sell dog insurance, poster printing and I also offer SEO services.

After you have chosen your free audio book, the website will direct you to a page where you right click on a file name to save the book to your hard drive. Usually, audio books are between four and six hours long. They have large files, which are sometimes separated into smaller files for a little bit easier downloading.

Many websites will let you choose the sound quality and files size you want to download. If you want premium sound quality, your download will take longer because the file is bigger. If you access the internet through cable or DSL, you won’t have too worry much.

Those of you who have the basic dial-up may want to opt for small files. Usually the sound quality loss is not too much for an audio book. If you want to play your free audio books on an MP3 player, be aware that not all file formats will work with all MP3 players. Many audio books are MP3 files that are not encoded with licensing information. You are able to simply drag the files onto your MP3 player providing it has an external drive. You can also drag them to your iTunes to sync up with your iPod.
