Importance of Swimming Pool Covers

It must be great to actually have your swimming pool in the back garden.

To be able to dive in and go for a swim whenever you feel like it!

Every year more than 300 children below the age of 5 years drown in private swimming pools.

Things can take place in a matter of minutes and 75% of these victims are missing for 5 minutes or even less.

Often a child dies quite silently with little or no splashing taking place.

It is imperative to rescue the child quickly to begin resuscitation. Seconds mean everything when it comes to preventing brain damage or death.

One preventative measure would be to set up swimming pool covers. These must meet all the necessary safety standards. There are a variety of these covers on the market today mostly PVC and also slatted safety covers. These are manufactured to ensure that a persons weight will be supported if someone falls into the pool. It is important to double check these standards before purchasing the product.

Overall you will discover that swimming pool covers are first and foremost important from a safety point of view but also they can help with a reduction in water bills, the cost of swimming pool chemicals and also it can cut down on the necessity of expensive draining and refilling of the pool.
