Mariah Carey Uses Humidifiers to Create Rainforest Bedroom

Mariah Carey is an internationally recognised celebrity, not just for her singing though. The award winning singer is recognised all around the world for her over the top demands. A recent request from the singer included 20 kittens and 100 white doves while she was turning on the Christmas lights at Werstfield Shopping Centre in London.

Suprisingly enough, Westfield Shopping Centre went along with the 100 doves, however, they did refuse the kittens as no pets are allowed within the centre. These 2 requests weren’t the only things she had on her list. She also demanded a pink carpet (not red), a Rolls Royce to drive her there, 80 security guards and finally a wand to ‘wave’ the lights on. All of which were agreed to!

These demands from her are nothing new, the singer even has high demands at home. She insists on maintaining her bedroom with rainforest like humidity levels. She achieves this type of climate by using 20 humidifers surrounding her bad which creates a steam room type astmosphere. The reason why she does this is to preserve her vocal cords, just one of the health benefits of humidifiers. I wonder whether she uses a ceiling fan to cool the room down in the morning.

Many people would think of her demands as high and expensive, however, she’s not the only one with high demands. There are several other singers that request alot. Guns N’ Roses are just one that request a variety of adult magazines. Cher is another one, she demands that she has two dressing rooms, one simply for her wigs. The last one, and possibly the biggest competitor for Mariah is Iggy Pop, he gives his host 18 pages worth of detailed and lengthy requests. Some of which included plastic seahorses and no toy robots.

Although these singers are demanding, none of Mariah’s competitors are known for using humidifiers, despite them having health benefits. I’m slightly surprised that none of them use air purifiers as these tend to have considerable health benefits. Especially when you consider a singer and their lungs, an air purifier can clean the air of dust and impurities.
