Identifying the signs of infertility

The case of infertility has become frequent for women. Generally symptoms are not noticeable unless a person is made aware of it. Infertility varies and has several types with different signs and symptoms among women, and it can also affect her partner.

If a woman fails to get pregnant several times it is advised to make an appointment with a doctor right away. Having unprotected intercourse for a period of up to 2 years and averaging this act about two to three times a week is an acceptable case. In this scenario it is advised to see an OBGYN to seek possible solutions for their fertility problem. After being diagnosed with infertility the couple is then sent to a specialist for medical treatment options.

The most common sign of infertility is having an irregular menstrual cycle. An Irregular menstrual cycle doesn’t mean that a woman is infertile, it can be a sign of an other possible health problem. If a woman is too thin or too obese chances are that her health status can be interpreted as a sign of infertility. Being too thin can also lead to lack of the needed nutrients which can make the problem even worse. In the case of obesity, hormonal problems are a common cause that has a great potential in directly affecting a woman’s reproductive health. Unhealthy lifestyle practices like alcohol and substance abuse also cause infertility. All these factors can worsen any health problem you have as they can directly affect the woman’s ability to conceive. Basically, the overall capability of the body to work normally is greatly affected with the woman’s abuse of drugs and other substances. These women are the ones who are most likely to experience the infertility problems.

Aside from women, infertility can also affect men. It can in fact have some physical symptoms in men. Men’s most common sign of infertility is the fact that they have undescended testicles. Outside factors also play a vital role in the development of infertility for men. Wearing skin tight clothing especially underwear can be a reason why a man can’t produce potential sperm. The exposure of the scrotum to heat can cause infertility problems.

In general couple show the same health attributes. Factors like obesity and abuse of certain substances directly affect both the man and woman’s reproductive capabilities. As a woman is made incapable of bearing a child, as the aforementioned factors also directly affect the man’s ability to produce the sufficient amount of sperm needed for reproduction.

It is necessary to first make sure that infertility is indeed the problem of the couple and the best way of dealing with it is by means of taking all the necessary steps during intercourse during the woman’s ovulation period. This can be simply accomplished by finding out the body temperature through by using an ovulation kit. Not having intercourse at the right time of the month can be a direct cause for infertility.
