In fact it has long been thought by scientists that people with all types of extra sensory and psychic powers have these powers because they are able to access different parts of their mind from other people. It seems that they were either born with this increased mindpower or have managed to develop this mindpower in later life.
Although the process behind our mind power is far from fully understood, the latest advances in quantum physics are beginning to reveal the true nature of the link between what we think and what we experience in ‘real’ life.
In fact recent scientific studies are starting to verify what the ancient religions have been saying for thousands of years, that reality is merely a product of your mind, and if you change the way you think, then you can change your reality � mindpower is in fact the only reality!
And with films such as ‘The Secret’ which explains the theory of the law of attraction, people are realizing that by changing the way they see things and by using their mindpower, they can attract abundance and anything they want into their life.
If you haven’t heard of it before, the Law of Attraction has at its core the assertion that there is a cause-and-effect relationship for everything that happens to us and for everything we do. In other words, what you think about is what you’ll get. By communicating with your subconscious and telling it what you want, you can change what you experience. If you don’t, your subconscious will assume that you want everything to stay ‘as is.’ That is, it stays in a state of homeostasis.
What this means is that your subconscious mind is responsible for so-called ‘psychic powers’ and other special powers like precognition, remote viewing, and telepathy. However, it’s also responsible for what you desire because it reacts directly with the ‘universe’ or what some may call the ‘universal consciousness,’ to manifest what you attract to you.
The key to developing your own mind power is to communicate directly with your subconscious mind and make sure it’s ‘in sync’ with what you want. How do you do this, though? There are several ways you can do this.
Affirmations:- Most people know about the simple process of affirmations. By repeating a positive phrase, to yourself several times a day your subconscious mind eventually gets the message!
So let’s say you need more self-esteem. You might say to yourself something to the effect of, ‘I have plenty of confidence,’ or ‘I’m very happy and confident.’ Or, you may want to nip a bad habit in the bud and replace it with something else. So if you’re trying to lose weight, for example, you can say, ‘I always eat good healthy foods to help me stay at a healthy weight.’
As long as they’re consistently repeated, affirmations really do work to change your life. By communicating directly with your subconscious mind, you tell it to do something different and it does. It also makes you behave differently, ultimately.
So just take this a stage further and realize that anything you want to change will change; not just your behavioral habits but absolutely everything in your reality. This is mindpower!
Practicing visualization:- Visualization is another way to develop mind power. With this, you close your eyes and visualize what you want to have happen. Your subconscious is very tuned into pictures, so if you visualize yourself being successful, for example, you can literally have anything you’ve ever wanted. Visualize a new car or new house, and it will come to you. One helpful technique is to make a scrapbook before you do a visualization so that you have something to focus on as you work on manifesting desires. As long as you do visualization consistently, positive results will appear.
And you can also visualize yourself having psychic powers. Visualize yourself communicating using telepathy. See yourself being able to see into the future, or view remotely. Using mindpower whatever you want to happen will.
Hypnosis:- Hypnosis is another well known way of communicating with your subconscious mind and helping to develop mindpower. If you visit a professional hypnotist or hypnotherapist they will start by making sure you are totally relaxed and then offer suggestions to your subconscious mind which it will remember when you wake up.
Alternatively you can try self hypnosis where you listen to a recording of a hypnotherapist going through the session. The advantage of this, apart from the cost, is that you can keep listening to it over and over again.
Brainwave entrainment:- This is a new audio technology which is brainwave synchronization. This changes instantly your brainwaves to a certain frequency. This can result in many things. At a certain frequency you can improve your memory. At another frequency natural endorphins are released into your body which heal and alleviate pain.
Other frequencies can assist you to get into a state of meditation very quickly to allow communication with your subconscious mind and therefore the development of your mindpower to take place.
Still other frequencies can be created that will stimulate parts of your body known as the ‘chakra energy centers.’ A chakra in the center of your forehead, for example, is called the ‘third eye chakra.’ This chakra is responsible for psychic powers.
However, don’t think that you need to ‘develop’ these powers. You have them already, inside you. It’s been said that many thousands of years ago, people had this ability, but it has since been minimized and repressed, lacked deep within the human psyche.
So when we talk about developing mindpower we really mean unlocking all of the latent powers and true potential of every human being.
Do You Believe In Life After Death?
A couple of years ago I had a rather strange experience. I went to visit my nan who lived in a flat on her own. Her husband (my grandad) had died around fifteen years before from a heart attack. I would ensure that I would go to visit my nan at least once a week. This was not something that was a bind for me as I have to say that I really enjoyed going to visit her.
Now before I continue I would like to point out that I by no means work within the paranormal sector, if one even exists. I actually sell cheap holidays, as well as offering advice about training for foster carers and on a part time basis I sell external doors.
On this particular day she started to talk about her health and explained to me that she was sure that she did not have long to live. She had a number of health problems as I am sure many people in their eighties do. These issues were gradually becoming worse and made her believe that the end was near. Strangely enough she turned out to be right.
What are you on about? I asked. She continued that she knew for a fact that there was an after life and that she was actually looking forward to going there. She was not afraid of dying and had basically had enough of life, as she was always tired and had very little to look forward to.
How do you know that there is an after life? Do not be alarmed, Steve, she said. Your grandad comes and visits me every week and has told me all about it. I know it is hard for you to believe but it is true. When I die Steve, do not be too upset for too long. I would like you to realise that this is where I need to be and that my time on earth is over but do not fear as we will, at some point in the future, be able to once again meet and have another one of our lovely chats.
My nan died around six months later and I really hope that she has been able to once again meet up with my grandad and other people like her parents of course.
Having a belief in the after life gave my nan a piece of mind and something to look forward to. This also gave her a rather bullish attitude over the whole subject of death – in reality I would suspect that there was a part of her that was slightly concerned about dying.
Remote Viewing – The Prerequisites
Remote viewing is the psychic ability that allows you to view people or places that you can’t see with your regular five senses. This means you can’t physically see or hear those things using physical senses, but you really can train your own latent psychic abilities to see those things without actually being there in person.
Unlike astral travel and some other psychic abilities, while remote viewing your spiritual and physical body will stay in the same place. You are able to see any place, person or thing you wish while your body, mind and spirit stay at home.
When you practice remote viewing, you are practicing a form of psychic dowsing. You’re using your psychic power to see a particular location, person, etc., within your mind’s eye. That is, you are using a kind of ESP to locate and view what you’re looking for.
All of us have psychic ability, but for some of us, it may be latent. That is, if it was never fully developed when we were children, it still exists within us, but we simply don’t know how to tap into it or use it. And in fact, most of us only use about 10% of our brain’s power, with 90% left untouched and unused, so that its potential is wasted.
There are many practical applications for remote viewing, such as making sure that your children are safe and sound when you’re away. Remote viewing can add to your security and give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing that everything is OK.
Where remote viewing differs from other types of psychic abilities and functions is that most people can learn do it easily enough. There have been studies performed on non-psychics that show a little training and some mental exercise can result in positive results.
To start training yourself in remote viewing abilities, these techniques are helpful:
*Find a quiet place to sit where there are few distractions. Close your eyes and allow yourself to relax.
*Through your nose, breathe deeply, relaxing as you do so. It may be easier to control your breathing if you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth lightly. This will also help keep you from the natural propensity to yawn as you do this.
*It’s important to put aside any feelings of negativity or cynicism and think positively about what you’re doing. As your relaxed state deepened, you should resolve your belief that you are able to control your own mind to view the things you want to see.
*Try first by choosing a simple remote viewing subject so that you can see that you truly are capable of this type of psychic power. One way to do this is to ‘stand’ in front of and facing away from your relaxed, chair-sitting self in your mind’s eye. Now, look back at your relaxed self from the perspective of your standing self, as though you’re looking at a mirror image. What do you see? It can be a little difficult to do this at first, but patience will get results. When you can see yourself as others would see you from this perspective, it will be wonderfully surprising.
*Once you’re able to see yourself while remote viewing, you need to begin looking at places which are farther away. Start with a place which you are already familiar with, such as the house where you grew up. Best of all is to remote view a friend or relative’s home. Keep an eye out for details and when you’re finished remote viewing, call and compare notes � find out if the details you saw while remote viewing are really there. This exercise lets you assess your progress as a remote viewer.
You can also change this exercise so that you include a friend or family member who is nearer you physically. Have this friend or family member sit in another room out of your line of sight and repeat some type of simple movement, like waving a hand, twirling a lock of hair, and so on. Relax and train your mind’s eye on the action being performed, utilizing remote viewing to do so. After you’ve completed the exercise, ask your friend or family member to confirm or refute what your results were.
After spending some time exercising and practicing your remote viewing techniques, you’ll find that it’s suddenly quicker to reach the level of deep relaxation you need to repeat it again and again. This deep trance state is similar to that of the relaxed state reached when people undergo hypnosis. You will still be wide awake at all times, but you’ve allowed yourself to relax so deeply that you’re able to access your sub-conscious mind.
It’s much more easy to access your psychic abilities through your subconscious mind, and the more you practice remote viewing, the better you will be at it.
