My Life As A Fluent Person

By Article Guy On February 25, 2010 No Comments

There are many types of stutter therapy including stutter cure courses or traditional speech therapy. I have overcome a stutter and in this article I describe what it is like to be fluent for me.

I am now able to order food and drink for example, without fear of a stutter, speak on the telephone and am able to enjoy socialising. As you may well imagine life is far easier for me now that I have achieved total fluency – the freedom it provides is amazing. I appreciate my speech compared with the average fluent person, who does not realise how lucky they are. Some would even say that I talk too much, but this is something I will never apologise for – when I had a stutter I hardly spoke at all.

As a person with a stutter, I seemed to accept second best. At the age of sixteen I left high school; not because I was not clever enough to stay on for further education but because I had had enough of people at school mocking my speech impediment. The stutter also affected my ability to meet girls as I basically did not have the confidence to talk to them. My stuttering mind convinced me that I could do no better. I was unhappy where I worked, but just accepted it; I did not feel able to put myself through the interview process again.

I now run The Stop Stammering Centre where I run one-to-one stuttering help courses to help people to achieve fluency. As well as these courses I also offer a variety of self-help options including the ever popular seventy minute DVD, an audio book and an e-book. All of these self-help options include full descriptions of the techniques which I successfully used to overcome my own speech impediment.

I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have therefore please feel free to contact me.

I look forward to helping you to overcome your speech impediment.

Stop Smoking – Build Your Support Group Early

By Article Guy On February 24, 2010 No Comments

Anyone who has tried to quit knows that it’s not a one-person undertaking. You need help to stop smoking. One of the most effective stop smoking aids isn’t sold in any form. It’s nothing more than knowing that you’re harming yourself and your family with the second hand smoke. If those people who care most about you are ready to help you through the process, you may find that you can make it happen. This is what I believe a support network should be trying to accomplish and the reasons why I think that this form of support network is so essential if we are going to be successful in quitting those nasty cigarettes.

You may be wondering what I am attempting to sell by way of this article. Well the answer is nothing and what is more I do not even work within the quit smoking industry. I am actually involved in jobs in foster care as well as offering budget package holidays and I sell composite doors on a part-time basis.

Make Yourself Responsible to Someone

The demons in the brain – the voices in our head – are very powerful and will be willing you to go for “just one more” crafty fag. Making yourself responsible to another person means that you’re going to have to actively lie about your smoking. It’s one thing to sneak in a smoke, but quite another to tell an outright lie when someone asks if you’ve had a cigarette. Choose someone who’ll ask you on a regular basis whether you’ve had a cigarette.

Talk to the “Naggers”

Spouses, family and friends often nag about smoking until the smoker is ready to scream. The key here is that it’s seldom productive and only makes the smoker more angry, nervous and anxious for another smoke. Quitting smoking is hard enough without adding the stress of arguments over the subject. Take time to explain that to all those “naggers” in your group. Tell them that you want their help, but that sniping isn’t productive quit smoking help.

Support for Stop Smoking Hypnosis

Advise the support group members with regards the types of products you are going to be using. The important thing is that you’re stopping smoking. With that in mind, ask all those who doubt that hypnosis stop smoking methods (or whatever you choose) keep their opinions to themselves. If you lose faith in the quit smoking hypnosis because of what you hear about it, it’s only going to serve to make the process less effective.

The Seven Techniques of Astral Projection

By Article Guy On February 23, 2010 No Comments

Astral projection is often thought of as “mystical”, but in fact just about everyone has the ability. In fact, lots of people experience astral projection unaware. So the trick sit is to have control over it and do with it what you want to do.

Let’s assume that you are already familiar with the astral plane and you know what astral projection is. The purpose of what follows is to tell you about a few different ways of how to astral project. If you know which methods work best for you, you can know the powerful experience that is astral projection.

The first technique in learning how to astral project, is one that you can do when you’ve gone to bed for the night. Let’s break it down into five steps.

*While lying there, completely relax your body so that you enter a deep state of relaxation. Lie on your back and start tensing then relaxing every muscle in your toes and feet. Work your way upward through your body from your toes to your head. You might feel discomfort or heaviness the first times you try this; but this is normal because you just aren’t used to feeling so relaxed.

*Now you will slow down and deepen your breathing as they do in meditation practices. Consciously breathe in deeply and slowly and focus your attention upon the way the air feels as it comes into your lungs and descends into your diaphragm. Now exhale slowly and deeply, focusing your complete attention upon the air leaving your lungs, your nostrils, your mouth. But if you feel yourself drifting off to sleep, focus your attention on the middle of your forehead instead as you breathe.

*Third Focus on the relaxed, heavy way your physical body feels. It probably feels like a heavy lump of clay or a slab of stone. Now turn your focus to the way that your astral body feels weightless and able to float free of your physical body. Imagine your astral body drifting upwards from the bed.

*A large percentage of people attempting to astral project claim that in this stage, they see the whole room theyre lying in, in spite of the fact that their eyes are closed. Additionally, in most cases it seems, people claim that there appears to be purple light, or at least, a purple glow filling the room. If youve reached this point then the next thing you need to focus on the light fitting in the centre of the ceiling.

*Continue concentrating on the light fitting and then mentally, slowly start to pull it towards yourself on the bed. At this point you should start feeling as if youre starting to float. At this point its tantamount that you do not allow yourself to fall asleep because by now you should be absolutely aware that youre floating and in all likelihood, it may well be possible to turn around and see your physical body still lying on the bed.

At this point you are now astral projecting and your astral body is free to begin traveling the astral plane. If you aren’t able to successfully astral project using this technique, you can try the following method.

This second method is commonly known as the gazing technique, which just as with the first method, is also best done when going to bed. The main difference is, with the gazing method, all you require is an object on which you can focus such as a picture hanging on the wall, the moon outside if its within view, or in fact anything you choose.

Simply begin focusing all your attention on the object youve chosen for the occasion while you are lying down on your bed. Inevitably your eyes will soon start to feel increasingly heavy and irrespective of how hard you try, your eyes will eventually close. This is a perfectly normal part of the process so dont feel disheartened but instead, you must make sure that you continue staring at the object through your closed eyes. Providing you do this, you will soon start to sense an irresistible urge to sit up or to stand up. Dont fight this urge as the feeling is coming from your astral body rather than your physical body. Youll soon realize this though as because when you turn around, youll be able to see your physical body lying on the bed.

If youre really serious about learning to astral project, you need to understand that these methods arent always successful on your first attempt. In all likelihood you may not even be successful with your second or third attempt either but if after that they still dont work, dont give up because there are still other techniques so simply try again using a new method.

It’s not really all that important how you start to astral project. Whatever works for you is great; the important thing is to let your subconscious mind know that it’s OK for your astral body to depart to travel the astral plane and that there’s nothing to fear. One way you can get this message across to your subconscious mind is by using affirmations.

Plenty of techniques can help you learn how to astral travel; you’ll find the right one for you with a little practice and possibly some trial and error.

Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful tool available as it gets you into an ideal state relaxation. Additionally, a really good session will also enable you to grasp and accept the principles of astral projection when you experience it.

The recently developed sonic technology of “binaural beats” can also program your subconscious mind to be deeply relaxed and let down the guard against astral projection.

Learning how to astral project isn’t actually that difficult. It’s really just about practicing. This is an ability which every man and woman already possesses; it just takes a little work and a little patience to learn to do it at will. Just like being able to read, it’s something you’re born with the capacity to do but you do need to practice to become expert in it.

How To Astral Project Your Spirit Body

By Article Guy On February 23, 2010 No Comments

Astral projection is often thought of as “mystical”, but in fact just about everyone has the ability. In fact, lots of people experience astral projection unaware. So the trick sit is to have control over it and do with it what you want to do.

Let’s assume that you are already familiar with the astral plane and you know what astral projection is. The purpose of what follows is to tell you about a few different ways of how to astral project. If you know which methods work best for you, you can know the powerful experience that is astral projection.

The following technique to help you understand how to astral project is a five-step process which can be done as you’re lying in bed before you fall asleep.

*Your first goal is to initiate a state of adequate relaxation by relaxing your entire body. In order to reach this state of relaxation you need to be lying down and then, starting at the lowest point which is your toes, tense each muscle and then relax it again. Once youve finished doing this with your toes, you do it with you feet, then your lower legs, then your thighs and so you continue upwards until you eventually finish with the muscles in your face. If at this point you feel your body is becoming heavy, do be alarmed at all as this is exactly what should be happening.

*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.

*This is the stage where youll need to be aware of two things in particular, the first being the way your physical body feels and the second being your astral body. Your physical body should feel heavy and difficult to move, almost as one would imagine a large boulder to be. As one pays attention their astral body, try focusing on how you would imagine the weightlessness of bubbles to be, gently drifting on the air currents. Focus on the absolute weightlessness of your astral body, feeling it starting to float away. Keep reminding yourself that your physical body is heavy, while your astral body is completely weightless.

*Fourth Now you may have the experience of being able to see perfectly well in your darkened room which should now be illuminated by a purple light even though your eyes are closed! Turn your attention to the light which is coming from your ceiling.

If youve experienced this unique phenomenon, well done. Youve successfully managed to astral project and are now in a position to start exploring with your astral travels. As Ive mentioned before, different techniques work for different people so if this technique hasnt worked for you, go ahead and attempt using this next technique.

This second method is commonly known as the gazing technique, which just as with the first method, is also best done when going to bed. The main difference is, with the gazing method, all you require is an object on which you can focus such as a picture hanging on the wall, the moon outside if its within view, or in fact anything you choose.

Whatever works for you is great; the important thing is to let your subconscious mind know that it’s OK for your astral body to depart to travel the astral plane and that there’s nothing to fear. One way you can get this message across to your subconscious mind is by using affirmations.

There do exist some shortcuts to becoming able to consciously astral project for those who might not have the patience to try over and over until they get it right. These should enable you to astral project on just your first attempt or second.

Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful tool available as it gets you into an ideal state relaxation. Additionally, a really good session will also enable you to grasp and accept the principles of astral projection when you experience it.

New audio technologies called binaural beats can also help you learn to astral project. These specially designed recordings consist of slightly different frequencies played into each ear. The effect of these recordings is to place the listener into the meditative, deeply relaxed state where astral projection comes naturally.

Everybody is born with the natural ability to astral project. Techniques and tools such as affirmations and hypnosis simply offer a little assistance to those who struggling to learn.

A Guide to Astral Projection

By Article Guy On February 23, 2010 No Comments

The ability to astral project is something which everyone already has naturally in fact, you’ve probably astral projected before without knowing it. What we’re going to talk about here is learning to consciously use astral projection and have control over where your astral body goes.

*Fourth Now you may have the experience of being able to see perfectly well in your darkened room which should now be illuminated by a purple light even though your eyes are closed! Turn your attention to the light which is coming from your ceiling.

*Fifth Try to visualize pulling this light to your astral body. You’ll feel like you’re floating; this is your astral body floating above your physical body. Just look down and you’ll be able to see your bed with your physical body at rest below.

Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you’re ready to astral travel. Here’s another method if the above doesn’t seem to work for you.

Youll soon realize this though as because when you turn around, youll be able to see your physical body lying on the bed.

If you aren’t immediately successful with these techniques, don’t give up. There are other ways to astral project, though any technique can take some practice. Be persistent and you will learn how to astral project before too long.

It’s not really all that important how you start to astral project. Whatever works for you is great; the important thing is to let your subconscious mind know that it’s OK for your astral body to depart to travel the astral plane and that there’s nothing to fear. One way you can get this message across to your subconscious mind is by using affirmations.

Many people still find that conditioning their mind to an extent where astral projection becomes easy can take considerable time but the truth is, there are some incredibly efficient short cuts which can make it possible even after one attempt.

Hypnosis is something which a lot of people find helps them to astral project. Especially for beginners, a guided hypnosis session can help. Having an expert there to tell you what’s happening and what to do next at each step is valuable guidance.

The recently developed sonic technology of “binaural beats” can also program your subconscious mind to be deeply relaxed and let down the guard against astral projection.

Everybody is born with the natural ability to astral project. Techniques and tools such as affirmations and hypnosis simply offer a little assistance to those who struggling to learn.
